The self-diffusion of 204Tl was studied by using the serial sectioning technique. The data, for temperatures ranging from 290 to 400C, could be described by:

D (cm2/s) = 6.2 x 10-1 exp[-1.101(eV)/kT]

The results showed that the defect structure consisted mainly of Schottky defects and highly mobile anion vacancies.
