The structure and ionically conductive properties of the sintered oxide of the system Li2O–TiO2–MO (M = Sr, Ba) were investigated in detail. A new orthorhombic perovskite-related type phase was discovered in the sample having the composition of 15mol%Li2O, 75mol%TiO2 and 10mol%MO (M = Sr, Ba). The conductivities of (Li2O)0.15(TiO2)0.75(SrO)0.10 and (Li2O)0.15(TiO2)0.75(BaO)0.10 at 300C were 6 x 10-3 and 2.5 x 10-3S/cm, and the activation energies for conduction were 0.29 and 0.39eV, respectively. Li ion conduction in them was confirmed by electrochemical experiments.
