Stoichiometric NiAl was over-alloyed with 12at%Fe in order to decrease the order-disorder transition temperature. The degree of long-range order in Al12FeNi decreased gradually as the temperature was increased. The activation energies for the migration of Fe, as deduced from the temperature dependence of the jump frequency, were equal to 1.42, 1.35 and 1.16eV for alloys quenched from 1073, 1273 and 1473K, respectively.
