It was recalled that twinning played an important role in the nucleation and growth of dynamic recrystallization grains in alloy 800H. The locally varying twin frequency was shown here to be quantitatively related to lattice rotations during deformation. Evidence for the repeated nucleation of dynamic recrystallization was found.
