An electrical conductivity measurement system for high-pressure and high-temperature conditions was set up, with a multi-anvil high-pressure apparatus by using an alternating-current complex impedance method. With this system, the electrical conductivity of stabilized ZrO2 (Y2O3-ZrO2 solid solution) under pressures up to 5GPa, at 300 to 1200K was successfully measured. The electrical conductivities obtained under pressure were compatible with those of previous results measured at ambient pressure.
