A model was suggested for the intersection of {332}<11¯3> deformation twins. Twinning dislocations, upon reaching the boundaries of the twin to be intersected, transformed into dislocations of the same type; leading to the formation of a secondary twin. The sessile orientation-misfit dislocations that remained at the boundary compensated the change in misorientation at the site of intersection. A crystallographic analysis was used to estimate the probability of occurrence of all of the variants of twin intersection.
