The stochastic microstructure evolution model was extended so as to include multiphase domain evolution and dislocation plasticity. The model was implemented by using numerical simulations which were based upon the velocity Monte Carlo algorithm. It described the evolution of a 2-dimensional microstructure by tracking the motion of triple junctions. The boundaries could be modelled as straight, curved or discretized segments. The misorientation-dependences of grain-boundary energies and mobilities could be modified so as to represent various textures.
