Glasses in binary and ternary systems, which contained up to 85mol%LiF, were prepared by using a splat roller-quenching technique. It was found that glasses with a high Li content had a high conductivity. The conductivity of Li0.8U0.2F1.6 was equal to 0.0005S/cm at 120C.
