The compositional dependence of the conductivity, σ, of molten AgCl–AgI mixtures decreased monotonically upon adding AgI to molten AgCl. The activation energy, as estimated from a plot of ln[σT] versus 1/T, was equal to about 0.11eV for the mixtures. The thermoelectric power of the mixtures increased with increasing temperature. The slope, of a plot of thermoelectric power versus 1/T, changed at 380 to 450C. The heat of transport ranged from 0.07 to 0.18eV at higher temperatures. A relatively large heat of transport (about 0.4eV) was found in the eutectic region at lower temperatures.
