An experimental study was made of various solid-state compositions in the system, xCdI2-(100-x)(Ag2O-PbO2) with x = 25 to 70. Electrical, thermal, structural, spectroscopic and ion-transport studies revealed the formation of Ag-ion conducting superionic phases in several of the compositions.
