Photo-stimulated luminescence of the CsBr1−xClx:Eu2+ system was studied for various Eu concentrations. Two types of F center were formed due to the Br ion vacancy and the Cl ion vacancy. The formation of Eu3+ was confirmed by optical absorption. The photo-stimulated luminescence of CsBr1−xClx:Eu3+ was found to exhibit bands at 415, 420, 440 and 470nm.
