It was found that the heat of transport (2.81kcal/mol) of the mobile Ag+ ion in the composition, AgI0.79(Ag2O·B2O3)0.21, as determined from thermoelectric power measurements, was considerably lower than the value (4.34kcal/mol) of the activation energy as deduced from conductivity data.
