A study was made of the effect of a pulsed electromagnetic field upon edge dislocation mobility in crystals, under mechanical loading by an electron beam. It was shown that taking this effect into account removed a discrepancy, in determinations of the dislocation dynamic damping coefficient, as performed by using an electron beam or mechanical impact loading.
