The material was prepared from the separate metal halides, under flowing Ar. The electrochemical behavior of the solid-state cell, Cu|Cu16Rb4Cl13I7|Cu, was studied by using impedance spectroscopic techniques. It was found that the material had a Cu ion conductivity of 69S/m at 473K. The activation energy was equal to 14kJ/mol at temperatures of between 351 and 473K.
