A vacuum desorption technique, combined with mass spectroscopy, was used to study the diffusion of H (table 74). These results were compared with published data, and it was concluded that H diffusion, at temperatures ranging from 523 to 2023K, was described by:

D (cm2/s) = 3.51 x 10-2 exp[-58.6(kJ/mol)/RT]
