Strain gauges were used to measure H diffusivity (table 230) in the disordered α-phase, and the ordered ε- and β-phases, by exploiting the Gorsky effect. It was found that there was a discontinuity in the Arrhenius curves for the ordered alloys. This was attributed to the motion of domain boundaries and to rapid H diffusion along these boundaries.
