Gas-volumetric measurements were used to determine the diffusion of H in polycrystalline hexagonal close-packed Zn at temperatures ranging from 50 to 250C and pressures ranging from 50 to 600torr. The results could be described by:
D (cm2/s) = 5.8 x 10-3 exp[-1.4(kcal/mol)/RT]
for 4N-purity Zn, and by:
D (cm2/s) = 4.2 x 10-3 exp[-2.2(kcal/mol)/RT]
for 3N-purity Zn.
