The electrical properties of multi-component fluoride glasses which were based upon ZnF2 were studied by using complex impedance techniques at frequencies ranging from 5Hz to 500kHz. It was found that the conductivity of ZnF2-19BaF2-10InF3-10SrF2-10NaF-1NdF3 was equal to 1.33 x 10-7S/cm at 400K, and that the overall data could be described by:

σT (SK/cm) = 1.51 x 106 exp[-0.83(eV)/kT]

The conductivity of ZnF2-19.5BaF2-10InF3-10SrF2-10NaF-0.5NdF3 was equal to 1.61 x 10-7 S/cm at 400K, and that the overall data could be described by:

σT (SK/cm) = 5.37 x 105 exp[-0.79(eV)/kT]
