The temperature dependence of the 7Li nuclear magnetic resonance  line-width of LiCuO2 was measured. The line-widths were constant at low temperature, while a narrowing in the line widths was observed above 370K. The results were explained by a model of thermally activated diffusion of Li+ ions. The activation energy for the Li+ ionic diffusion was estimated to be 0.23eV in LiCuO2, being lower than that in LiCoO2. This indicated that fast ionic diffusion occurred in LiCuO2.
