The distribution of As in various diffusion couples of high-purity Fe-As alloys (0.6 to 4.6at%As) was measured by microprobe analysis, following diffusion annealing at 950 to 1380C. The results showed that the temperature dependence of the diffusion coefficient of As in α- and γ-Fe could be represented by:
α-Fe: D (cm2/s) = 4.3 x 100 exp[-52500/RT]
γ-Fe: D (cm2/s) = 5.8 x 10-1 exp[-58900/RT]
