In alloys which were deformed by 20%, at temperatures of between 270 and 318C, the activation energy of 80kcal/mol decreased to 24kcal/mol at temperatures of up to 400C. With increasing temperature, the permeation decreased and the activation energy increased to 37kcal/mol. This dependence of permeation and diffusivity upon temperature was attributed to formation of the K-state and to a change in the degree of ordering during the tempering of quenched samples and the annealing of deformed alloys.
