The bulk diffusivity was deduced from micro-analytical data and from the width of Cr-depleted zones in sensitized stainless steel. On the basis of the present, and previous, results it was proposed that the diffusivity could be described by the expression:

D (m2/s) = 2.2 x 10-4 exp[-289(kJ/mol)/RT]
