Migration in the amorphous alloy was studied, at between 575 and 643K, by using secondary ion mass spectrometry. The measurements were performed on pre-relaxed specimens, and it was found that the diffusion coefficients lay between 10-23 and 2 x 10-20m2/s. The results (table 149) could be described by:
D (m2/s) = 9.4 x 10-4 exp[-2.16(eV)/kT]
It was suggested that the diffusion mechanism involved the cooperative motion of groups of atoms.
