The penetration of H into single-phase α-phase solid solutions which contained up to 10%V was studied at 300 to 700C. It was found that changes in the V concentration, from 0 to 5%, did not affect the penetration of H. A further increase in the V concentration increased the temperature coefficient of H penetration and the activation energy (table 202).
