The correlation of transmission electron microscopic imaging and micro-photoluminescence studies of electron irradiated areas of diamond was extended to new optical centers and defects. New evidence of the interaction of point defects with dislocations and grain boundaries in diamond were shown here. Optical centers at 518.6 and 518.8nm were directly correlated with dislocations and an optical center at 519.1nm was correlated with a grain boundary.
