The enhancement of solvent diffusion which occurred upon alloying with As was measured for As contents of up to 5at%, and 909 to 1073K (table 18). First- and second-order enhancement factors were determined. A free enthalpy (Gibbs free energy) of binding of 0.23eV was deduced for a vacancy-As pair at the intermediate temperature of 991K.
