Hardening was observed in the surface regions of two Al-Li alloys after cathodic H charging. The diffusivity of H in the alloys was deduced, from the micro-hardness profiles, to be equal to 5.48 x 10-14m2/s for Al-2.30Li-1.24Cu-0.80Mg and to be equal to 6.16 x 10-14m2/s for Al-1.9Li-1.8Cu-1.0Mg. The presence of Li in the alloys decreased the H diffusivity.C.Thakur, R.Balasubramaniam: Journal of Materials Science Letters, 1996, 15[16], 1397-9
