The Ag concentration profiles in ribbon-samples of the amorphous alloys were determined by using Auger electron spectroscopy and ion-beam sputtering. It was found

that the rate of Ag diffusion was increased by cold-working (table 203). This was attributed to the introduction of a large number of structural defects by the deformation.
