It had been shown that, following exposure of Pd to O at 1123K, the O solubility could be determined - after cooling - by the subsequent trapping of H by dissolved O at 323K. In the same way, the diffusivity of O could be determined by the amount of O which accumulated or left a Pd plate during times shorter than those required for equilibrium. The present results (table 234) could be described by:
