Values of JC of about 16MA/cm2 at 15K were found for high-quality c-axis-oriented thin films under self-field. The extrapolated value of JC at 5K was estimated to be about 40MA/cm2. For a magnetic field of 5T, a JC of approximately 0.1MA/cm2 was detected at 15K. A vortex-glass phase was considered to be a possible explanation for the observed high current-carrying capability.
