Invoking a manifest 2-phonon exchange mechanism in a recently extended framework of the Cooper problem, an idea of Cooper was applied in the context of the superconductivity of a bi-metallic film of a superconducting metal and a normal metal to calculate the TC of MgB2. This then led to values of the 2 gaps in MgB2 which were in good agreement with experimental values.
