The Peierls-Nabarro model for interfacial misfit dislocation arrays was extended analytically to a family of dislocations of greater widths. By adjusting a single parameter, the width of the misfit dislocations, the distribution of shear stresses and the restoring force law could be systematically varied. It was found that, the smaller the amplitude of the restoring force, the wider were the misfit dislocations and the lower was the interfacial energy.
