The diffusion of Cs on the (110) surface was studied by using the field emission fluctuation method for coverages of 3.2 x 1013 or 6.3 x 1013atoms/cm2. An activation energy of 0.42eV and a pre-exponential factor of 10-4 to 10-5cm2/s for diffusion were obtained. The results were compared with previous data for Na on W(110), and it was concluded that the diffusion behavior of Cs was more normal than that of Na.
