Interdiffusion and self-diffusion of bulk metallic glass-forming Pd–Cu–Ni–P alloys were investigated above the liquidus temperature at 993K by the long-capillary method. Good agreement between the calculated partial mixing enthalpies and observed up-hill diffusion was found. The flow direction of up-hill diffusing elements was towards regions with the highest negative heat of mixing.
