Monte Carlo simulations were used to investigate the modification of magnetic ordering in ultra-thin films by the introduction of a regular array of vacancies. The magnetic moments were coupled by a dipolar interaction and were assumed to form a square lattice. The simulations demonstrated the variations in magnetic ordering with temperature and vacancy concentration for a variety of vacancy configurations.
