The behavior of the most mobile elements of the defect structure of a metal, vacancies and dislocations, was investigated under substantially non-equilibrium conditions that were created in the surface layer of the metal during the process of ultra-rapid cooling after treatment with concentrated energy fluxes. The stage preceding the phase transformation in the metallic alloy at the stage of cooling was studied using the techniques of dynamic analysis. It was shown that in theory the formation of a specific dislocation configuration facilitating the phase transition was possible.
