Measurements of p/n junctions were used to deduce the diffusivity of Cu into large-grained Hg0.7Cd0.3Te solid solutions. The results for 200 to 450C (table 2) could be described by:
D (cm2/s) = 3.3 x 10-5 exp[-0.28(eV)/kT]

Diffusivity of Cu in Hg0.7Cd0.3Te
Temperature (C) | D (cm2/s) |
200 | 1.1 x 10-7 |
300 | 4.4 x 10-7 |
400 | 8.2 x 10-7 |
