The La2Ni0.5Cu0.5O4+δ was prepared by using the so-called nitrate–citrate route, and O permeation fluxes through dense membranes were measured under various O partial pressure gradients at 850 to 1200K. The O transport properties were compared with previous measurements made using isotopic exchange depth-profile experiments and conductivity relaxation method. They all showed very good agreement.
