It was pointed out that the rich order-parameter of spin density waves allowed for the existence of unusual objects having a complex topological nature. Such so-called chimerae consisted of a half-integer dislocation, combined with a semi-vortex of staggered magnetization. They became energetically favourable due to enhanced Coulomb interactions, and their generation changed the narrow band noise frequency.
