The diffusion of Co into single crystals of the compound semiconductor was studied under the conditions of SZnSe-SCoSe-LZn-V phase equilibrium at 700 to 970C, and the diffusion coefficients of Co in (100)- and (111)-oriented single-crystal samples of ZnSe were determined as functions of temperature. The diffusion rate of Co along the [111] direction was shown to exceed that along [100].
