The diffusion of D+ in single crystals at high temperatures was measured (table 130) by monitoring the growth of OD− optical absorbance in samples which were heated in D2O vapor. The diffusion coefficient at 873K was about 5 x 10-8cm2/s for diffusion parallel, or perpendicular, to the z-axis. The activation energy parallel to the z axis was 1.4eV.
