By using an X-ray diffraction technique, the volume diffusion coefficients of Al in α-Fe at 730C were measured for the first time in a pulsed magnetic field with a pulse amplitude of 39.8 to 238.8kA/m and a frequency of 1 to 8Hz. It was established that both the frequency and the amplitude of the magnetic field pulses significantly influenced the diffusion process.
