Atomic mobility and self-diffusion were studied, using nuclear magnetic resonance, for nanostructured liquid Ga and In embedded in nanoporous matrices. A marked increase in the correlation time of the atomic mobility was found, as compared with the equivalent bulk melt, that depended upon pore size. Additional alterations were observed when confined melts were partially frozen.
