Quasi-elastic neutron scattering experiments on liquid Li (500 and 830K) and Li-H melts (99at%7Li and 1at%H at 830K) were performed using a time-of-flight spectrometer . The characteristics of the diffusion mobility of the particles comprising the studied liquids were deduced from the experimental results, and were analyzed with the aid of phenomenological and theoretical models. The self-diffusion coefficient in liquid Li at both temperatures was in agreement with literature data. Questions concerning H diffusion in liquid Li were addressed.
