A 5-parameter grain-boundary analysis was applied to a Ti alloy for the first time. The boundary distribution was related to the β-to-α phase transformation and to deformation twinning. There was a very strong plane texture, only partially related to twinning, which did not diminish during long-duration low-temperature annealing.
