A new view of the dislocation velocity exponent was presented which was based upon the iteration model for dislocation multiplication. The results indicated that there was a relationship between the dislocation velocity exponent and the dislocation multiplication dynamic bifurcation, having a non-linear nature, in the plastic deformation of materials.
