The statics of dislocations were described by means of numerical simulations which were discrete in space. The dislocations were treated as line segments that were embedded in an otherwise homogeneous linear anisotropic elastic medium. Each dislocation line was decomposed into piece-wise straight segments; where the segment length of 1 to 20b was much less than the dislocation length of 4000b. The stress field of the whole dislocation was calculated by superposing the stress contributions from the segments. As an example, the stress fields which were generated by low-angle tilt boundaries were considered.
