Water diffusion in mesoporous alumina was investigated by means of quasi-elastic neutron scattering. A dependence of the diffusion constant of sample upon pore size was observed. The conductivities of samples upon doping with various inorganic salts were investigated. The conductivity increased by 10 to 15 times upon doping with chloride. The chemical stability of chloride-doped mesoporous Al2O3 was evaluated.
