The Green's function was constructed for a dynamic elastic situation in an isotropic medium which comprised two half-spaces having differing elastic properties and which were in contact on the plane, x = 0. Expressions were derived for the field of displacement velocities and for the stress field which was generated in the medium by a system of rectilinear dislocations which moved parallel to each other and to the boundary of discontinuity of the elastic moduli. Expressions were obtained for the radiation fields (asymptotes to the elastic fields in the wave zone far from the sources) which were formed by intrinsic excitations of the boundary of discontinuity (Stonely waves). The spectral components and space-time characteristics of this type of radiation were examined.
