A method of analyzing 3-dimensional anisotropic elasticity was developed which was based upon the Stroh 2-dimensional formalism. By using the present method, a 3-dimensional solution could be constructed from the corresponding 2-dimensional solution. The method was used to solve several problems concerning point forces or dislocation loops. Known results for these problems were reproduced in a unified manner, and new results were obtained.
